KNOW THY CUSTOMER!
You need to get a DEEP understanding of WHO your ideal customer or client is and what motivates them to buy.
The better you understand your ideal customer, the more effective and persuasive your sales copy or videos will be.
And one of the BEST ways to get to know your ideal customer's wants, needs, hopes, dreams, fears, and frustrations is to simply ASK!
Asking questions is a superpower in business.
However, most entrepreneurs and business owners don’t take the time to REALLY sit down and talk to their target customers.
You need to interview both customers and prospects to find out EVERYTHING you can about them and what is motivating them to look for a solution to their problem.
(Your product or service DOES solve a problem for your customers… Right?)
When was the last time YOU had an “interview” with one of your customers to find out WHY they bought from you?
In fact, THAT is a great question to ask them…
“WHY did you decide to invest in my products or services?”
Their reasons may surprise you. They are often not what you would guess.
But do you want to know an even MORE important question you can ask in your business?
This next question has been responsible for HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars in sales for my coaching clients and my own businesses.
And that powerful question is...
“Why DIDN’T you buy?”
When you have a prospect or lead that does NOT buy, you have an opportunity to REALLY learn about your target customer, offer, and your sales process.
By asking them, why they did NOT buy, you will learn what is missing, confusing, or just doesn’t resonate with your offer, copy, product, or service.
You’ll also be able to extract ALL of the objections and obstacles holding your prospects back from moving forward with the buying decision.
After asking this question of multiple non-buyers, you’ll know EXACTLY what is working and not working about your offer and copy.
And you’ll be able to improve your offer and copy to overcome any potential (and actual) objections BEFORE they even come up.
I’ve seen this process more than 10x the conversion rates of my coaching and mastermind group clients’ offers!
