Traditional methods of changing your mindset to be more abundant (like affirmations, vision boards, etc.) can take YEARS to reprogram your subconscious.
(IF you can even stick with them long enough to make them work at all!)
Itās like owning a cherry tree and trying to grow apples by saying, āyouāre an apple tree, youāre an apple treeā to it over and over.
If you want to change the fruits, you must first change the roots!

If the most youāve ever made in a year is $100,000 and suddenly you are making $1,000,000 per year, odds are youāll self-sabotage your way back down to where you are ācomfortableā or feel you ādeserve.ā
However, if youāre used to $100,000 and you drop down to $20,000, youāre going to be uncomfortable as well and do whatever it takes to get back to where you believe you belong.
Youāve probably heard the statistic that most lottery winners are dead broke within 5 years.
Now you know WHY!
But it works in the other direction as wellā¦
If you take everything away from someone like Richard Branson, the odds are within a year or less, he will be back to being wealthy.
And it is NOT simply because of the knowledge or experience he has.
It is because of the way his subconscious views his IDENTITY.
His subconscious is āwired for wealth.āĀ He sees himself as wealthy.
Your subconscious is programmed to PROTECT you and reinforce your identity.
Those of us who didnāt grow up wealthy often have DEEP limiting beliefs around our āfinancial identityā and how much money we think we deserve.
Our Financial Thermostat is largely determined by our subconscious beliefs about money and wealth, and our brain is driven to protect us from potentially uncomfortable situations.
Unfortunately, ātoo much moneyā is often viewed by our subconscious as just as dangerous a threat as ānot enough.ā
So, our mind keeps us firmly stuck within our financial comfort zone and resists any attempts to change.
This is the reason why most people struggle to grow their income and really break through to the next level.
They make a bit of progress but then find their income (and bank balance) hovering back around the same level year after yearā¦
With only incremental forward progress (usually just enough to keep up with inflation, but they are still not āgetting ahead.ā)
